Privacy Policy
Effective Date: June 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how UIN Siber Link Shortener collects, uses, and protects your information.
1 Information We Collect
We collect minimal information necessary to provide you with our link management services. When you authenticate via the UIN Siber Single Sign-On (SSO), we automatically receive the following profile data:
- Identity Data: Your full name and institutional email address.
- System Data: Technical logs, IP addresses, and timestamps associated with the URLs you create or manage.
We do not collect passwords or sensitive academic credentials. All authentication is handled securely by the central UIN Siber Identity Provider.
2 How We Use Your Information
The information we collect is strictly utilized to operate and improve the link shortening service:
- Account Management: To associate your generated shortened links with your account, allowing you to edit or delete them later.
- Analytics: To provide you with basic click metrics and geographic analytics on the links you share.
- Abuse Prevention: To monitor and prevent the creation of malicious, spam, or inappropriate redirects that violate university policies.
3 Data Security and Sharing
We take your privacy seriously. Your data is stored securely within the UIN Siber private infrastructure.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. Access to the system logs and user data is strictly limited to authorized university system administrators and is used solely for maintenance, security auditing, and providing support.
4 Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our services or campus regulations. Any modifications will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. By continuing to use the service after these changes, you agree to the revised policy.
